John Berger is the Chairman of Coaction Specialty Insurance Group. Before retiring from Ascot Re in 2021, he was the founding Chairman and CEO of Third Point Reinsurance, a publicly traded reinsurer based in Bermuda that was launched in 2012. Previously, he served as CEO of Reinsurance and Vice Chairman of the Board at Alterra Capital Holdings (previously known as Max Capital Group). He also served as Chairman of Alterra Reinsurance (previously known as Harbor Point Re). From 1998 to 2005, he was CEO and President of Chubb Re.
Bob Cox is a highly accomplished insurance executive with extensive expertise in underwriting and senior leadership across U.S. and global markets.
He was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Lancashire Holdings Limited (LHL) in 2025.
From 2018 to December 2023, Bob served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Insurance Operations at Markel Corporation. In this capacity, he led the company’s worldwide insurance activities, encompassing specialty and international segments, while contributing to multiple subsidiary boards within the Markel organization.
Before Markel, Bob built a distinguished career at Chubb spanning from 1981 onward. He began as an underwriter in the Department of Financial Institutions and advanced through various senior roles in Chubb Specialty Insurance, ultimately becoming Chief Underwriting Officer and then Chief Operating Officer.
In addition to his LHL directorship, Bob serves on the board of American Bankers Mutual Insurance Company Limited.
Andrew Cook has extensive executive, financial, operational and capital market experience having been the founding CFO of several organisations and overseeing the development and growth of accounting, finance, treasury and investor relations departments. He brings significant global M&A experience having served as the President and CFO of Harbor Point (and later as President of Alterra Bermuda) as well as leading successful IPO’s at LaSalle Re, Axis Capital and Global Partner Acquisition Corp. Andrew was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of GreyCastle Life Reinsurance and was on the Boards of Blue Capital Reinsurance Holdings Limited and GreyCastle Life Reinsurance (SAC) Ltd. He currently serves as a Non-executive Director and Chair of OmegaCat Reinsurance Ltd, is a Non-executive Director and Chair of Aspida Life Re Ltd and is a Non-executive director of Ferian Re Ltd.
